This type of film is attached on to the window pane from the inside. You can remove the pane before attaching the film, but this is not necessary. Film attached from the inside lasts considerably longer than film attached from the outside since it is not exposed to adverse weather conditions.
The darker the film is tinted, the stronger the protection from sunlight and heat. This applies to the darkening effect too. A reflective sun protection film acts like a mirror on the outside during the day and is tinted on the inside, somewhat like sunglasses.Our differently coloured sun protection films (e.g. green, gold, bronze...) enable the colour to be adapted to the facade or window frame.
The different colours also influence the tinting. Thus, for example, a copper coloured sun protection film has a very warm effect and a blue film is more likely to be cool. Summer room temperatures can be considerably reduced by attaching a sun protection film. At the same time, all our film types have insulating properties, due to which less warmth escapes outside in winter. Please observe that in the case of sun and warmth protection glass as well as sloped and overhead glazing and gas filled double glazing an outer film should be used on all accounts. Even in the case of normal double glazing, it is advisable to use an outer film, since the cavities between the glass panes can heat up intensely. Sun protection film should never be stuck on only parts of the surface.
